I believe both is true. There are a few people who are gifted with a good memory. Others have to be mentored. Definitely you could be someone with a good memory but thats not enough to be an achiever. An achiever is someone who has the right balance of everything. They might be an expert in one field but they also manage to learn about other fields too.
